The FlexFabric 5900v is a distributed virtual Switch that operates within the ESX hypervisor kernel, replacing the native VMware vSwitch. HP FlexFabric Virtual Switch Orchestration (VSO) Software coordinates the deployment of network policies from HP’s Intelligent Management Center (IMC) onto an IEEE 802.1Qbg-compliant switch with the provisioning of virtual machines from VMware’s vCenter.
