Fully utilizing the architecture of the Intel Xeon 7500 chipset, up to four top performing 130W processors plus 64 DIMM slots are supported. The six 10GB FlexFabric ports combined with the seven mezzanine slots yield an outstanding 192 GB of I/O bandwidth. This expandability and performance makes traditional multi-processor (MP) rack to blade transition a true reality.

By designing a balanced architecture, the server is a very unique 4P blade offering that ensures all subsystems are used effectively. Traditional MP blades are typically unbalanced, providing processor performance and density at the expense of proportional memory and I/O bandwidth. As such, these unbalanced servers often fail when faced with larger databases, higher-density virtualization applications and general data-intensive applications.
