The HP A8800 series routers feature a distributed high-performance network processor (NP) as well as high-capacity crossbar non-blocking switching technology that delivers robust network processing performance and flexibility. A distributed quality of service (QoS) control unit provides end-to-end service, as well as core services at a fine granularity.
